This system sounds reasonable to me, because it provides rewards targeted to two reasons for why people would participate:<BR/><BR/>(1) Prestige of having been a major contributor for building something awesome<BR/>(2) Being able to use the castle when it's done<BR/><BR/>Oh, also I guess:<BR/>(3) Building is fun - (it's a reward in itself, doesn't require an external motivational tool)<BR/><BR/>Are there any other reasons for participating that I'm missing? I guess it's not critical because, so what if your system doesn't motivate every single person, it just has to motivate enough people to get the job done.<BR/><BR/>In any case you'd have to very carefully tailor the rewards to make sure they actually address these desires.
