well seriously though, yeah, the DRM is irritating, but I consume games as both a player and researcher, and not just as a collector. If I were a collector first, I would have to agree with you.
I also consume games as a system administrator of my computer and as a citizen of a democratic society currently debating intellectual property rights, and it's in both of those roles that I find SecuROM unacceptable. If I have to write off as a loss games I would otherwise enjoy because of that, so be it. (I do seem to have a tendency to whine about it, though.)
