I graduated from a prestigious university with an engineering degree. I work at one of the most exciting game companies in the world. But every time I try to do linear algebra, I become convinced that I'm just not smart enough.
screw you linear algebra. I don't need you. I have trigonometry and calculus, I can do just fine!
probably I need a better teacher.
If I remember correctly, wasn't linear algebra taught by Prof. Wilson? At least, what little I got out of undergrad. It is unfortunate, because I use it all the time now and it's so helpful, but I feel like I still have giant blind spots.
ReplyDeleteYou're not alone. I felt like I almost almost had a grip on it after taking the class (for the third time in my life) in grad school, but then I graduated and haven't used it since.
ReplyDeleteI think if you asked me to find the eigenvalue of a matrix, I would break down and cry.
